That being said, as Christians, where does Jesus fit into the picture of God being in all from before the foundation of the earth? I mean, what was the need or purpose of the Only Begotten Son of God?
All people must admit that man is capable of unfathomable horror and violence. As Christians, we believe this is due to the Fall of Man, when the first created child of God chose to disobey Him. At that point, we are told that man was separated from God by a great chasm called sin. But, I ask, how can we be separated from God who is in all of His creation?
So what exactly did happen when man disobeyed God in The Garden? I propose that at that point there came a tear in the cosmos. A break in the cosmic fabric, so to speak. That fabric being the presence of God, which is all energy, which is in all creation. Creation could no longer flow perfectly. There would be bumps and crags along the way, allowing behavior contrary to the Image of God. And the only way to repair the tear, God being who He is and desiring perfection in His creation, and knowing that man alone could not repair the tear, because after all man was a creation of God and not God, was to offer a great sacrifice of Himself and then exhibit His power over sin that caused the tear by resurrecting that perfect sacrifice and returning it to life.
Jesus became the patch. He was not the bridge between man and God because God was still always present in man. And as He became that patch, that repairer of the wound, man was able to actually see the manifestation of God’s plan for man: perfection in union with God. Before this act, man was unable to know the fullness of the love of God and so he was unable to live in that love. He could not love himself or his neighbor.
Before Jesus was born (and died, resurrected and ascended) man was unaware of the immensity of the deed of dying to save others (from anything). Especially foreign would be the reason to die to save strangers.
Even greater: man was unaware of the state of unconditional love.
Any love, or inkling of love, that man knew before Jesus was incomplete. With Jesus also came the ability to treat all people with honor, respect and dignity.
So, we can all believe in the same God yet with different names. But we cannot know unconditional love unless we know Jesus.

I’m thinking that my thoughts may be a bit controversial. And I would love to hear some other ideas and thoughts on this concept. Because these are just my thoughts. I am not proclaiming to know for sure any of this. Also, I think there are a few holes in this theory. But I can't see them on my own. Thanks!
