So here I sit at ‘an event,’ manning my booth, showing the world (or whatever small number of the world’s population enters) how to make the place they live in a better, safer place, and that, of course, leads to healthier people who live in that place.
This is not my favorite way to get the word out to fellow humans. It takes a lot of preparation, some expense, and converts to a long day spent mostly alone watching faces glance my way, sometimes with a tiny smile, while their feet quickly carry them past.
What’s the stigma? This is a ‘marketplace.’ Vendors are here to sell. The public was invited, not coerced to enter. Why are people afraid to stop and look? Are they that unsure of who they so that they are afraid they’ll buy something they don’t want? Are most people that weak?
I’m just here to support a friend’s project (the event). And to attempt to reach more people with the message that you can take charge of your health and you can start in your home with your cleaners that are safe, effective and even will save you money.
Hopefully I can make that difference in at least a few lives today. Then the long day that I prepared for will be worth every minute.
Happy Earth Day. Again.
