The Fall, the movie

Becca finally got me to watch the movie called The Fall.
It is one of her all time favorite movies. I cried through almost the entire movie.  Becca and I have different thoughts as to it’s meaning.
They did not save each other. He became her father figure to replace the father she loved whom the ‘angry people’ killed. She figuratively saved his  life (main character in the film) by giving him something to live for. She believed in him through the hardest time of his life when others gave up on him. She believed in him even when he was broken physically, mentally, financially and spiritually. She believed with a pure heart.  And that purity is what reigned over all the bitterness and ugliness.
To me, it was a beautiful story of loss of innocence coupled with the ability of purity to prevail over that loss. This because the child had not been defiled and so that innocent spirit was able to reign in the end.
It was some of the best acting and character chemistry ever on screen because the essence of the characters was real.
