The Best Mysteries Are Not Meant to be Solved

Would a mystery be truly a mystery if it were solved? Aren’t the best mysteries those that no one can figure out? The ones that leave us wondering? Certainly unsolved mysteries make great novels, movies and television shows. When a mystery is solved, we can tell it’s story but over time we are no longer curious; it's story fades and eventually becomes one not worth repeating - at least not often.
Now, mysteries around a person’s untimely death or disappearance or around a person’s illness that are thankfully resolved bring necessary peace to all involved. But other than that type, the best mystery remains in our thoughts, conversations and interminable quests to solve.
I have more thoughts on the subject which I will add later. But for now, those additional thoughts must remain a mystery - to you.

I like my mysteries solved. That is not the same as having them ruined. I never read book jackets for fear they may give something crucial away. But by the end of the book, I want to know "Who done it!"

Very clever ending to this piece!
