The Healing Piano

It amazes me how much I love to hear the piano.
When I was a child I longed to play. But we were poor and could not buy the instrument. Even though my neighbor offered free lessons, I would have no piano to practice on. The adults in my life decided it
would not be possible to learn that way. It broke my heart.
Our three daughters have played a little here and there. Their playing was not a case of me living my dream through them, which is good. Even so, whether it was or not, my piano desire was not fulfilled.
Now, in my sixties, music is readily and affordably available wherever I am. I can listen all day long. Naturally, when I do, I often choose genres that spotlight piano.
As  the melodies of accomplished pianists plunge into the depths of my soul, Love rises up. My heart is healed.
If I knew piano, I would play my gratitude to the world.
