Letter to a Leaf

Dear Little Leaf,

Are you holding on or letting go?

Oh, little leaf, do not be afraid.

In the letting go

you will allow the plan to be fulfilled.

Oh, leaf you are so intricately formed.

Your edges are smooth,

your tiny veins peek through your glossy body.

You are beautiful.

You are a vital part of what has made this tree

so lovely in Spring, Summer, now.

As you let go and let change occur,

You will be even more vibrant.
As you relax and let yourself float to earth

You allow yourself to become

an essential part of the life cycle.

Let love, not fear, be your lighthouse.

Let go, let change, fear not the fall;

Your Creator is still at the helm.

You can only be used in His plan

For your best and the best of others,

If you let go of fear

And allow His perfect Love to guide.

Thank you, Little Leaf, for who you are.

For I am created in the very image of the Creator Himself.

Perfect your Love in me, O God

So that I will let go, allow change,

And not be afraid of any fall.

For each step in Love takes me

to the plan of fulfillment for my life.
